Understand your mindset…

Where does your mindset fall..?

Mindset is how people take and react to different things; normally there are two types of mindsets which are fixed mindset and growth mindset. Here is how do two modules of mindsets react to different things in real life?

a. CHALLENGES:

3. An opportunity to be free
Here is how a fixed mindset would react to challenges:
1. Will definitely think it is something to avoid
2. Will reveal their lack of skills and they never want to be seen as failures
3. They give up over challenges easily and they don’t want to work harder and harder

b. SKILLS:

2. They think they are stuck and have no options to figure out things

People with a growth mindset:
1. There has to be a solution to each problem occur and
2. They will work hard and they will believe that they can find that solution
Here is how people with a fixed mindset would react toward their efforts
1. I can’t find a solution because it is too hard so there is no way I am going to work hard over it
2. The effort won’t be worth it because I am not going to find a solution anyways
3. Short term focus and gratification

d. FEEDBACK:

People with a growth mindset:
1. Every feedback is useful and it is a thing to learn from
2. It will help me to identify areas to improve

Here is how people with a fixed mindset will react to feedbacks:
1. They get defensive
2. Take it personally
3. Shut down when they hear bad feedbacks and they even don’t want to hear any more feedbacks after they hear bad feedbacks

e. SETBACKS:
Here is how people with a growth mindset would react to setbacks:
1. They will take responsibility
2. They are accountable for their actions
3. They reflect, review what they had done wrong and go again to correct where they did wrong to make it right
Here is how people with a fixed mindset will react toward setbacks:
1. I am not good enough to do that if I fail and there is no way I can redo it again
2. They would blame others for their failure and want to blame others
